2019-20, Ink, watercolor and acrylic on paper
This series investigates the aspects of familiar everyday visuality. I appropriate, decontextualize and juxtapose forms and images from the popular iconography, particularly those of the Disney imagery. The childhood identity through the popular imagery emerges as a bright and busy aesthetic that promise happiness and prosperity. The artworks functions as memory signs that question contemporary society's values through the deconstruction of the narrative device of the images.
